Immigration DNA TestingThe arrival of settlers into a new country is referred to as immigration. People who have relatives already living in a country might wish to join their relatives in that country and can do this by proving that the alleged relatives in the country they plan settling in are genetically/biologically related to them. Often immigration tests can be carried out as paternity tests between mother, father and child and has to be approved by the Standards Council of Canada. DNA immigration testing can moreover, also be done between aunts, uncles, grandparents, nephews and grandchildren. DNA sample collection arrangement is done outside Canada through the Canadian embassy and samples are collected by someone appointed by the embassy that will also need to authenticate the samples.
