A genetic test will soon be available for women to know whether they may develop the early menopause. The genetic testing involved can indeed prove extremely useful to women for a number of reasons which will here be discussed.
The onset for the menopause in some women happens around age 30 or 35. This is much before the expected and usual age of onset for most women which are in their early 50s. The research for this genetic test was undertaken by Researchers from Exeter University Peninsula Medical School and the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) examined the four genes linked to early menopause.
