Keanu Reeves has finally taken the DNA paternity test which has absolved him of all paternity claims.
Earlier this year a Canadian woman demanded payments amounting to an astounding $150,000 for a child she has who she said Reeves was father to. She also made further claims for spousal support. She claimed that her and Reeves were childhood friends, although Reeves denies ever having met her.
Under mounting pressure from the woman, the actor consented to the DNA paternity test of which results excluded him as being the father to the boy. The attorney for the 45-year old actor strongly encouraged that the actor take the test in order to clear his name.
DNA paternity tests have become an established means of determining paternity. Given the rate of exclusion of the alleged father is 100% accurate and possibility of paternity is 99.99%, it is not wonder that celebrities and ordinary mortals have made this system of testing the norm. Mick Jagger was forced to pay alimony payments to his Brazilian girlfriend supermodel Luciana Morad. A paternity test was used to confirm Jagger’s paternity.
Another supermodel Angela Ermakova has also confronted her boyfriend with the indisputable results of a DNA paternity test. Boyfriend tennis player, Boris Becker, had to concede to payments in view of these results. Larry Birkhead, was the one demanding a paternity test in the Anna Nicole Smith case, as he wanted to claim his full rights as paternal father to their daughter.
Also X-spice girl Mel B, who was dumped by her boyfriend Eddie Murphy on a TV interview, has had Eddie and their child take a paternity test after the X-boyfriend refused to acknowledge himself as father unless there was scientific proof- and what better proof than a DNA paternity test, which did in fact prove Eddie was the dad.
A DNA paternity test has become the most accurate and reliable test in determining paternity. Results show with extremely high probability whether an alleged father is the biological father or not and therefore, it is no surprise that so many are relying on just this kind of test to clear doubts and solve disputes.
